Volunteers Needed for
Day of the Event
Day of Event Committee: Headed by John Cullina and Larry Kane

We need help in all areas on the Day of the Event (Mar
30) Please volunteer to help for a few hours.
We will need dozens of volunteers to work raffles,
auctions, admission, security, etc. Contact John or Larry to serve so we can
coordinate as soon as possible.

Food & Beverage:
Headed By George Healy, Roy Anderson
Before the event: Organization of donated food & recruitment of paper goods.
Organize times & communication for bands and other entertainment
At the event: Organize food servers & bus boy service.
Silent Auction and Basket (a.k.a Chinese Raffle): 10 to 20 people
Headed by Roy Anderson
Solicit the donation of items to be auctioned and raffled off the day of the
event. (Remember it can take months to get a reply from corporations). Committee
will be expected to log and decoratively wrap all donated items. (Additional
volunteers will be recruited in the weeks prior to the event to assist in the
actual gift wrapping, storage and transportation of the prizes).
Grand Raffle:
Headed by John Patton, Duane Bennett, Kevin Lee
Assisting in the distribution and tracking of the Grand Raffle ($100 each)
tickets, including web orders and waiting list. Tickets will be available as of
October 1, 2007
Jewel Food Days:
Headed by Anne Cozzie, Kelly Sise, Emily Cozzie
NEEDED: SOMEONE RESPONSIBLE FOR NORTH SIDE CITY & SUBURB DISTRIBUTION. There
will be 3 days in 2007 and three days in 2008 for shop and share. Committee
chair for city wide distribution to all firehouses and as many schools and
parishes as possible the week prior to each shop day.
Pre-Event fundraising:
STILL NEED SOMONE TO HEAD THIS COMMITTEE
Responsible for organizing small events to publicize the main benefit and
generate income. Such events would include pub crawls, football squares,
Christmas or Super Bowl parties. And whatever else you can come up with.
Please note that St. Patrick�s events will be a key responsibility.
This will include organizing 20+ volunteers for the Southside and Downtown
Parades to work OUTSIDE selling raffle tickets and other fundraising materials.
Bullet Raffle:
Headed by Ray Kulling and Tom Doyle
NEEDED: PEOPLE FOR NORTH SIDE & FIRE DEPARTMENT EVENT DISTRIBUTION &
SALES.
Managing the sale of the �bullet tickets� ($1.00 each or 6 for
$5.00) including finding venues to sell tickets, distribution, tracking and
managing deposits. (estimated number for sale = 60,000)
Secretary & Publicity Committee:
Maura Doyle and Debbie Palmer
A personally addressed and HAND SIGNED thank you needs to be sent to EVERY
business that donated between now and the benefit and every private person who
makes a major donation.
This committee will also manage Publicity: press releases, parish announcements,
poster distribution.
Security: 6 to 10 off duty officers
Coordinated by Duane Bennett
Before Event: an officer will need to be present at each benefit meeting and
escort the treasurer to deposit to the bank that night. An off duty officer will
need to be present at each pre-benefit event where money is being collected such
as football games where raffle tickets are being sold and pub crawls.
At Event: these officers will oversee the additional officers who volunteer to
be security over the money (crowd control will be a separate committee.
Admission tickets: 5 to 10 people Headed by Jim McCann
Pre-sale for admission tickets across the city. Tickets will not go on sale
until February. This also includes organizing volunteers to sell ticket at
shuttle bus sites as well as the admission desk at the Benefit.
T-Shirts:
Headed by Bob Martin
Sell sponsorship space on the back of t-shirts to be sold the day of the event.
